Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a talented Safety Coordinator to support the Safety Manager and operational safety teams by assisting the Head of Safety Risk management in analysing safety data and proactively identifying trends that may require investigation. The role plays a key part in maintaining the functionality and continuity of the Safety Management System (SMS) by managing and coordinating the flow of safety information and reports.
Under the supervision of the Safety Manager, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for the classification, coordination, and follow-up of safety reports in QMS (safety management system software), as well as supporting administrative and planning activities within the safety office.

- Assist in analyzing safety data to identify trends and support proactive investigations.
- Ensure proper classification, documentation, and coordination of safety reports in QMS.
- Maintain oversight of safety report workflows to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports on safety performance and system activity.
- Provide administrative and planning support to the Safety Manager and safety office.
- Coordinate logistics and documentation for safety meetings, audits, and briefings.
- Organize and maintain safety records and related documentation.
- Support the planning and implementation of safety-related initiatives and internal communication.
- Act as a liaison between safety stakeholders to ensure effective information flow and task coordination.
- Perform internal follow-up of safety-related actions, ensuring deadlines and responsibilities are clearly tracked and communicated.

Where do you land?
You’ll be part of OPS Protection team, consisting of 12 passionate and talented professionals. As a member of Lufthansa Group, the team is closely connected to the safety and protection department of the Group as well.
You will report directly to the Safety Manager and work closely together with many important internal and external stakeholders.
Your profile

- Bachelor or equivalent by experience.
- Experience 2 years in risk industries or aviation.
- Experience in a safety, compliance, or operational support role, ideally in a regulated environment such as aviation or transportation.
- Familiarity with safety report systems (e.g., QMS) and data analysis tools.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities, teamplayer.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to task management, solution driven and result-oriented.
- Good knowledge of English (Written & Spoken), other languages are an asset (Dutch & French).
- Ethical code in conduct, discrete and tactful in dealing with people, objective and fair.
