Job Description:

Job Summary

  • Develop and implement the training policy in line with the company’s strategic orientations.

  • Overall responsibility for functional training programs.

  • Ensure that employees benefit from the required training programs to perform their duties professionally and in compliance with Swissport and industry standards, and that training compliance is monitored and maintained.

Your activities

  • Organizational Scope
    • Establish and ensure the effective implementation of the training process to meet professional and personal qualification requirements (knowledge, skills, and behavioral competencies – individual and collective).

    • Identify training needs in coordination with the different departments and propose appropriate, pragmatic intervention strategies and solutions that take operational constraints into account.

    • Provide instructional and andragogical support to content trainers in the design and delivery of training programs and tools (train-the-trainer programs, participant guides, trainer guides, performance support tools, training facilities, etc.).

    • Develop tools to assess skills transfer and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs in line with best practices.

    • Provide training expertise to various departments by anticipating the evolution of roles and future competency requirements.

    • Stay up to date with new trends, approaches, and tools in skills development and promote the adoption of best practices.

    • Ensure sourcing and selection of training providers and institutions in accordance with applicable procedures.

    • Structure and organize, in collaboration with departments, projects related to multi-skilling and competency management

  • Operational Scope
    • Manage the department team and ensure effective coordination in the execution of monthly and annual training plans, maintenance of the Intelex system, and compliance with training manuals.

    • Analyze and assess training needs through job analysis, evaluation systems, and regular consultations with operational teams.

    • Develop the annual training plan based on current and future organizational needs as well as individual development needs.

    • Prepare and monitor the training budget in coordination with General Management.

    • Evaluate training and development programs, revise and update them as necessary to adapt to changes, in line with the overall training and organizational strategy.

    • Ensure effective implementation of the training plan and assess return on investment (performance reviews, objective and progress reviews), in compliance with company strategy and allocated budgets.

    • Develop and monitor training KPIs, reporting, and dashboards.

    • Manage the administrative and financial aspects of training activities.

    • Ensure administrative and procedural follow-up required for OFPPT reimbursements (relationship management with OFPPT, GIAC, and formalization of administrative and financial files).

    • Monitor and control integrated training records for Training Officers (TO) on Intelex.

    • Assess the competencies of internal trainers in accordance with Swissport procedures.

    • Design, deliver, and evaluate technical training programs to ensure employees’ know-how, skills, and performance meet current and future Swissport needs.

    • Identify and develop innovative learning solutions and motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience and maximize learning and retention.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management / Management
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a training department
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • English / French / Arabic
  • Knowledge of the industry sector

  • Training engineering competencies

  • Strong Human Resources culture

  • Initiative and proactivity
