About the Role:
Wing is looking for a Associate General Counsel to join our Legal team. This role will be based in Palo Alto, CA. You will help ensure that Wing is complying with a range of legal, regulatory, contractual, and standards obligations, while promoting an overall culture of compliance. Using right-sized, risk management approaches, you will help build a formal Enterprise Compliance function that will balance Wing’s compliance requirements with the dynamic needs of our business. You will work with leaders across the Company to proactively identify any significant gaps in existing procedures and develop innovative, efficient and effective solutions. You enjoy multitasking and are known for collaboration. You are simultaneously detail-oriented and focused on the big picture. Your written and verbal communication skills are impeccable. You can translate complex concepts into clear, succinct language.
What You’ll Do:
- Build out a comprehensive formal Enterprise Compliance function and continuously update the companys global legal and compliance policies
- Prioritize compliance requirements and monitor key activities. Youll also develop and deliver compliance training, ensuring effective enforcement of all requirements
- Lead and support internal investigations as assigned, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Support the companys entry into new domestic and international spanets, ensuring full compliance with national, state, and local regulations.
- Develop and maintain the companys compliance calendar and tracking systems, ensuring timely action and oversight.
- Offer and/or secure legal advice across a broad spectrum of areas, including supply chain and trade compliance, aviation regulations, employment law, code of conduct issues, information security, safety, and general operations.
What You’ll Need:
- 12+ years of relevant legal experience.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in good standing with at least one state bar.
- A proactive, hands-on approach, ready to tackle pressing business issues.
- Adept at breaking down complex legal questions and prioritizing issues.
- Ability to translate legal rules into clear, practical, and actionable advice for business teams.
- Confidence to make sound judgment calls with conviction, recognizing when to escalate issues.
- Responsive, solution-oriented attitude with strong organizational skills to manage competing deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce cogent legal deliverables and deep dive into critical questions.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and consistently delivering on commitments.
- Experience with projects involving legal, regulatory, and reputational risk.
- Audit background and/or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification are a plus.
- Ability to take ownership, interact confidently with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.

$332,000—$344,000 USD
