PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a driven Manufacturing Specialist to support our partner, a top-tier aerospace industry leader. In this role, you will help streamline, improve, and enhance manufacturing processes that directly impact aircraft reliability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Job Type: Full-Time, Consultant (12 Months)
Location: Chula Vista, CA 91910
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Pay Rate: $36.50 per hour
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). About the RoleAs a Manufacturing Specialist, you will support engineering, procurement, and production operations within a dynamic service center environment. You will improve existing processes, design new tools, support supplier and manufacturing activities, and ensure customer commitments are met with precision and efficiency. Your work will help ensure timely, high?quality delivery to airline customers and operational teams.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)- Incorporate engineering changes that support manufacturing and purchasing activities.
- Provide planning, manufacturing, procurement, and shop-floor support for the Chula Vista Service Center.
- Innovate and design new tools to enhance manufacturing processes and improve operational flow.
- Review and commit to airline customer orders and requests for quotes.
- Create Engineering Change Requests to support technical updates.
- Write tool orders for new tools, modifications, and repairs.
- Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to resolve issues related to engineering, materials, tooling, and manufacturing.
- Improve existing manufacturing processes through design, analysis, and continuous improvement methodology.
- Develop new tools aimed at improving quality and reducing overall cycle time.
Required Qualifications- Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering support environment.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to interpret engineering changes and translate them into actionable manufacturing requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with internal teams and suppliers.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
- Background in manufacturing engineering, tool design, or continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Engineering Change Requests, tooling documentation, and procurement workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem?solving abilities.

Pay Details: $36.50 per hour
