Why Sentinel?
The Sentinel Program is an enormous and complex “Mega-Project” modernizing the entire ICBM weapon system deployed across five states. It includes a complete refurbishment of hundreds of aging Minuteman III ICBM facilities to secure and support a newly designed, technologically advanced ballistic missile. It will also provide an entirely new command and control system as well as vast array of required support equipment specifically engineered to operate and sustain the new weapon system over the decades ahead. It is a long-term project with the weapon system anticipated to deploy over a nine-year period and remain operational until at least 2075. Sentinel is a career defining program that will present unique and challenging opportunities that simply isn’t available with smaller projects.
Job Details
This specific opening is for the ISC Lead Systems Integration Engineer. It is a significantly challenging, incredibly rewarding lead position leading a multi-disciplinary cross-functional team.
Daily tactical responsibilities of the Integration engineer include planning, coordinating, executing, and completing tasks across the Sentinel weapon system. The lead integrator will be held accountable by the Customer for the technical quality, content, and results of tasks. The Lead Systems Integration Engineer will ultimately responsible for all deliverables and projects within Systems Engineering and will provide frontline expertise to multiple product teams and mission partners.
Operationally, this position support government customers from a consultant/mentor perspective and prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations on the status and content of the Branch’s projects and products.
