Director of Operations Training
Job Description:

With more than 120 operations and approximately 20,000 employees worldwide, Precision Castparts Corp. is the spanet leader in manufacturing large, complex structural investment castings, airfoil castings, forged components, aerostructures and highly engineered, critical fasteners for aerospace applications. In addition, we are the leading producer of airfoil castings for the industrial gas turbine spanet. We also manufacture extruded seamless pipe, fittings, and forgings for power generation and oil & gas applications; commercial and military airframe aerostructures; and metal alloys and other materials for the casting and forging industries. With such critical applications, we insist on quality and dependability – not just in the materials and products we make, but in the people we recruit.

PCC is relentless in its dedication to being a high-quality, low-cost and on-time producer; delivering the highest value to its customers while continually pursuing strategic, profitable growth.

In 2016, Berkshire Hathaway, led by Chairman and CEO Warren E. Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.

  • Capture and organize the knowledge of experienced leaders into practical resources that can be shared across the organization. Create easy-to-use tools and processes that help teams apply PCC’s best practices to real-world challenges.
  • Develop onboarding tools and materials for Operations leaders, teaching the fundamentals of theory of constraints, SIOP, and other key operational concepts.
  • Partner with HR, Quality, EHS, and other functions to align operations training with organizational priorities, initiatives, and compliance requirements.

  • Embed leadership behaviors aligned with PCC’s culture, decision‑making approach, and operational expectations.
  • Implement a training measurement system to track participant progress, skill application, and performance improvements across sites; report trends to senior leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive operations leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing or related industry, including a minimum of 2 years in a senior‑level operations role (e.g., Plant Manager, General Manager). Must also have at least 1 year of formal training and facilitation experience.
  • Ability to apply advanced operational frameworks such as Lean, TOC, and SIOP.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement training programs at scale.
  • Exceptional facilitation capabilities, with experience delivering training to frontline supervisors, managers, and cross‑functional operations teams; able to simplify complex operational concepts and create an interactive learning environment.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms, AI-enabled tools, and technology-driven performance solutions.
