Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Core Quality Manager (Multifamily) to support the BDS Total Quality Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers team in Tukwila, WA.
The Core Quality Manager (Multifamily) will manage employees that develop and maintain quality processes and systems in support of effective and efficient quality systems within MS&B.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families.
- Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
- Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle
- Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans
- Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
- Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities
- Provides input on the development of departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives and related metrics to ensure alignment with Company vision/strategy
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve cost, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ years of experience in Quality or directly related work
- Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
- Experience leading teams in a formal or informal role
- Experience working with safety and quality process and procedures
- Experience leading improvement projects using continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes and implementing corrective actions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience working with customer airlines or government agencies
- Active U.S. Clearance
- Experience collecting data, developing metrics, and conducting trend analysis

Summary pay range: $116,450 – $157,550
