In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing the end-to-end pricing framework for our Cargo Joint Business partnerships with IAG and Malaysia Airlines. As part of the QR Cargo Pricing team, you will drive strategic alignment and optimize joint pricing performance across partner airlines to maximize network profitability and deliver a seamless customer proposition.
During the first year, your primary focus will be to lead the design, development, and implementation of the Joint Business pricing framework in close cooperation with partner airlines. This requires strong project management skills to align processes, tools, and governance while ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder buy-in.
Once the framework is fully operational, you will be responsible for managing the strategic joint pricing function, including RFQs, price alignment decisions, and proactive spanet interventions to drive optimal outcomes for all parties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Joint Business pricing framework, ensuring full alignment with partner airlines’ processes, systems, and commercial objectives.
- Manage strategic joint pricing decisions, including setting and reviewing RFQs, aligning pricing strategies across airlines, and identifying opportunities to optimise joint revenue performance.
- Drive strategic projects to enhance joint pricing capabilities, tools, and reporting to support decision-making and maximise network margin.
- Act as the primary pricing interface with partner airlines, fostering effective collaboration and ensuring adherence to Joint Business commercial governance.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Revenue Management, Sales, Network Planning, and partner airline pricing teams.
- Monitor spanet trends, industry benchspans, and competitive positioning to inform joint pricing strategies.
- Oversee pricing guidelines to ensure optimal decision-making and commercial consistency across spanets.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members involved in Joint Business pricing activities to build capability and ensure best practices are embedded.
- Support the broader Cargo Pricing team in strategic initiatives as required.
