The CPK Area Supervisor has ownership for the processes and equipment of the Convenience Pack (CPK) value stream and plays a crucial role in the production leadership team while also ensuring compliance with plant Process Safety Management (PSM) policies and expectations as well as other regulatory requirements. This role is required to help maintain the Parker Lean System within the value stream while assisting in the creation and execution of the strategic vision for the area.
Responsibilities
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES• Supervise 25-30 hourly team members.• Respond to incidents and emergencies in the CPK and PTO Area and provide support and guidance to Emergency Response Team (ERT) members.• Supervise process & equipment safety (including PSM), effectivity, and efficiency of the CPK value stream.• Provide leadership and technical guidance to engineering and maintenance teams to allow for safe completion of project related work.• Provide daily counsel to CPK Team Leads and Operators to meet production requirements.• Support daily performance through management of Parker Lean Systems and the Team Improvement Boards (TIBs).• Lead and/or participate in Continuous Improvement projects along with actively promoting and implementing the Parker Lean System.• Evaluate and propose appropriate corrective action to discrepancies noted by the notification process to support product quality through process adherence using methodical problem-solving skills.• Support the training and development of team members• Obtain observations of performance through interactions with Team Leads, coworkers, and others to provide feedback to team members.• Act in a mentoring capacity, encouraging team members to develop their personal skills by reinforcing positive performance and operating discipline.• Develop and maintain a positive team member relations climate through effective communication and sound management practices to preserve the issue free qualities of the facility.• Operate a forklift along with any CPK or PTO production equipment in the facility.• Support Inventory Control measures of the plant to ensure inventory accuracy.• Stand (up to 95 of the time), bend 90 degrees (up to 50 of the time), walk (up to 75 of the time), push/pull (up to 75 of the time), lift (up to 50 of the time), and climb stairs (up to 25 of the time).• Carry up to 50 pounds (up to 50 of the time).• Work in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
WORK EXPERIENCEREQUIRED• Five or more years of experience in Chemical Manufacturing with increasing level of responsibility.• Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and supervise maintenance on CPK and PTO equipment.
EDUCATIONREQUIRED• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
CERTIFICATIONS• HAZMAT Technician
