We have partnered with an Air Ambulance Transportation operation to help them identify a Senior Avionics/Airframe (A license) Mechanic to support depot-level maintenance operations on Learjet 35 aircraft fleet. This is a hands-on role involving heavy inspections, structural repairs, systems and avionics troubleshooting, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, all performed in accordance with FAA regulations and OEM documentation.
This senior-level role is suited for a seasoned Avionics/Air-frame mechanic with a strong Avionics/mechanical foundation who also demonstrates the ability to diagnose complex systems and avionics discrepancies, lead or support a crew of technicians, and provide after-hours maintenance support as needed for a Part 135 charter air ambulance operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform heavy and routine inspections, calendar-based maintenance, and depot-level repairs on Learjet aircraft
- Diagnose and repair discrepancies across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and avionics systems
- Conduct engine runs, leak checks, flight control rigging, and system functionality tests
- Perform corrosion control, sheet metal repairs, panel replacements, and structural modifications
- Read and interpret Learjet maintenance manuals, drawings, service bulletins, and ADs/SBs
- Remove and reinstall major aircraft components including engines, flight controls, landing gear, and avionics units
- Lead or assist in managing small teams of technicians during major projects or AOG events
- Respond to after-hours callouts to support critical Part 135 operations when required
- Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, company procedures, and OEM standards
- Accurately document work performed in maintenance records and work order systems
- Support return-to-service procedures through inspection and coordination with QA/DOM
