SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Minimum 3 years experience as A&P Mechanic (preferred).
- Learjet experience preferred.
- Gulfstream experience preferred.
- Problem Solving/Analysis.
- Advanced troubleshooting a plus
- Meet experience requirements on airframes or powerplants.
- Strong mechanical ability and skills.
- An aptitude for working with complex equipment and understanding technology is also necessary.
- Computer literate and understanding of electronics.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Talk and hear regularly.
- Sitting is required.
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing and/or balancing all day.
- Use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work in hangars, on the flight line, or in repair shops utilizing hand, power tools, test equipment, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Work outdoors in inclement weather conditions enduring high noise levels when making emergency repairs.
