About ATAC
Textron Systems - ATAC provides tactical flight training and adversary aggressor services for U.S. Navy, Marine and Air Force pilots, and is the only organization certified to train the Navys TOPGUN program. ATAC operates simultaneously across eight sites and two continents and comprises the worlds largest outsourced civilian, tactical airborne training organization and proudly provides the highest quality live training to Squadrons, Air Wings, and Battle Groups. ATAC was the first civilian organization authorized to train the USAFs F-22 Raptors.
Summary
The Newport News Quality Assurance Analyst reports to the Quality Assurance Manager in Newport News, Virginia. The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for Quality Assurance matters for several aircraft including but not limited to the MK-58 Hunter, Mirage F1, and F-21 Kfir Operations, and ATAC general flight operations.
Job Responsibilities
Ensuring effective supervision and management of all Quality Assurance efforts in support of company requirements; throughout operating bases and detachments.
Ensuring efficient program management within company maintenance information systems; to include RAMCO, AMS, ARS, QT9, reporting email systems, share drive, and company SharePoint.
Maintains oversight and ensures compliance with Ground Operations Procedures (GOPs) and approved Quality Management System (QMS).
Using Quality software database (QT9), conducts scheduled Audits, manages Corrective Action Request (CAR) process, and coordinates site suppliers as needed.
Integrates with site leadership to provide layers of quality oversight and integration of quality objectives.
Participate as a team member on Process Improvement initiatives across departments.
Assists Program Managers with oversight recommendations and implementation.
Assists with trend analysis to identify focus areas for improvement.
Providing periodic reports as required by the Director of Maintenance, Local Maintenance Manager and Quality Assurance Manager.
Lead Quality Assurance Division efforts with constant focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
For manpower, operational and work taskings, position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Responsible for maximizing maintenance/quality efficiencies across all TMS.
Ensuring maintenance department functions are accomplished in accordance with applicable FAA, DoD, OEM, NAVAIR, and internal, Ground Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Management Systems through an effective Quality Assurance process.
Responsible for the implementation and efficiency of quality improvement measures.
Managing all quality related issues with customers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
Additional responsibilities as determined by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 years of aviation maintenance experience.
Quality Assurance and compliance experience preferred.
Process Improvement certification, education, and/or experience desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of programs.
A&P License Required.
Inspection Authority Desired.
