Job Summary:
The Executive Assistant to the President will provide high-level administrative support, ensuring the efficient operation of the President’s office. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to manage multiple priorities.
Essential Functions:
- Professionally represent the company President when interfacing with customers, organizing company events, reviewing correspondence and responding to inquiries made to the President.
- Create effective working relationships with the Crane Corporate staff and their respective executive assistants. Ensure that corporate staff visits to A&E sites have solid planning and execution.
- Create effective working relationships with the Assistants of key customer executives.
- Work closely with the A&E VP of Sales and Marketing to create and maintain a customer contact plan for the A&E President. This includes regularly scheduled phone calls, face-to-face meetings, and reminders for special dates for customers (e.g. Birthdays, anniversaries, etc).
- Provide proactive follow-up on action-items assigned by President to any member of the A&E staff. Ensure these actions are completed on a timely basis.
- Complete special product as assigned by the President. May include creative problem solving, progress oversight, working with multiple company departments and extensive company research
- Confidentiality – the executive assistant will have access to company confidential information. Maintain the highest integrity and confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Strategic Planning:
- Organizes and coordinates staff meetings, off-sites and org events
- Given little to no direction, is free to explore and determine methods to accomplish objectives that support department vision or goals or increase leader capacity
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the President and internal/external stakeholders to address questions and research requests between the executive, his/her peers and his/her leadership team. Handle correspondence, draft emails, and prepare reports and presentations.
- Understand business goals and organizational priorities
Travel and Company Meetings:
- Leads the travel arrangements for multiple executives (domestic and international) both in and outside the department. Publishes agenda, prepares travel docs and proactively manages disruptions in travel plans
- Develop itineraries and agendas for executive travel, including scheduling flights, securing travel documents (e.g. VISA’s), arranging other transportation, and booking accommodations. Monitor the progress of executive travel to ensure that changes are managed proactively
- Actively seek to improve professional skill set and capabilities through active engagement in industry status, educational opportunities, and membership in relevant professional organizations
- Attend regular A&E staff meetings and capture/maintain action items in a standard format. Follow-up with action owners to ensure that items are completed on a timely basis
- Make arrangements for standard company meetings such as AOP, IC, Strategic Planning, etc.
- Prepare and submit all expense report for the president
- Assist in planning and coordinating company events
Schedule and Email Management:
Actively maintain & manage the A&E president’s personal schedule using Microsoft Outlook. Ensure that standing meetings are maintained, ensure that sufficient personal working time is reserved for the president, and make schedule adjustments to accommodate emergent meetings
Provide daily/weekly schedule reminders to the president to ensure appointments are kept on time
Monitor the president’s incoming business e-mail. Work closely with the president to ensure that all correspondence from Customers, Crane executives, and A&E employees are addressed on a timely basis
Sets annual calendar with key business cycles in mind and proactively identifies calendar dependencies
Presentations and Reports:
Assist the President with the creation of professional presentations to be used in both external and internal communications
Conduct research and gather information to support the President’s decision-making process.
Establish and assist President with the management of regular reports – such as the weekly President’s report – to ensure timely and complete submittal
Provide the president with soft and hardcopy summaries of key reports and KPI’s for the A&E Business
Support of other A&E Leadership Team Members:
As time allows, provide support to the A&E VP of Finance, VP Sales and Marketing, VP HR, and VP Operations
Non-Essential Functions:
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the quality and efficiency of work and aid management in the implementation of organizational change
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: Eight (8) or more years of experience supporting an executive level position(s)
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge: High level MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Skills/Abilities: Strong customer service, interpersonal, and leadership skills; Self-directed and able to perform assignments independently; Demonstrated pro-active approach and flexibility with change; Ability to multitask and prioritize a heavy workload; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals
- Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Executive or senior level administrative /project management experience in a business environment
Working Conditions:

- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

Top Benefits:
Salary range: $118,900 - $155,500. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
