The Digital Communications Specialist drives the creation and design of digital content that amplifies Signature Aviation’s mission, culture, and business priorities. Serving as the Corporate Affairs team’s primary digital and design lead, this role oversees day-to-day content development and production for internal and external channels (e.g., SharePoint-based intranet, PowerPoint presentations, reports, invitations, newsletters, email platforms, LinkedIn) to effectively showcase Signature’s people and corporate narrative. This role will directly support the Corporate Affairs leadership in creative development and execution of all digital communications and creative design efforts, including photography and video production. Success is measured by increased employee engagement, strengthened employer brand perception, and clear analytics that inform data-driven decisions.
Creative/Content Development and Channel Management
- Develop all multimedia content, design, and implementation (video, photography, graphics, animation, etc.) for Signature’s Intranet, digital signage, executive messages, recruiting campaigns, LinkedIn, and other digital channels focused on the People story.
- Create assets, including the production of videos (filming and editing), photography, and visuals for various platforms, working closely with Corporate Affairs, HR, and Operations teams.
- Maintain an integrated content and editorial calendar that aligns with Corporate Communications.
- Ensure all digital content supports and aligns with the companys strategic pillars and key story drivers to maintain consistency in content and design.
- Work closely with colleagues in Corporate Affairs and HR to create compelling visuals and graphics to ensure maximum viewership of content.
- Produce share-ready assets tailored to each platform, optimizing for usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Working with others in the Corporate Communications team, create a People brand style guide to include templates and updated toolkits.
Social Media Leadership
- Create platform-native content (LinkedIn, Cooleaf, digital signage, etc.) that attracts and retains talent, builds community, and showcases Signature Aviation’s culture and achievements.
- Partner with Marketing to understand conversation trends involving people and culture, directing content development and design to engage authentically with audiences.
- Monitor trends in social media channels and share accordingly to increase the effectiveness of digital communication efforts.
Analytics & Optimization
- Working with the Manager of People Insights and Analytics, develop KPIs, track performance with native and third-party analytics tools, and deliver monthly metrics plus insights-driven recommendations.
- Conduct continuous A/B testing to refine creative treatments, posting cadence, and channel mix.
- Utilize tools such as Google Analytics and social media analytics to measure ROI and inform your plans.
Crisis & Issues Support
- In partnership with IT, build and maintain “dark site” webpages, email templates, and social-ready assets that can be activated rapidly during an incident or crisis communications.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications leadership to update and rehearse digital response playbooks.
Innovation & Best Practice
- Scout emerging technologies, design trends, and platform updates; pilot new tools that improve efficiency, reach, or interactivity.
Share learnings with peers and integrate into the long-term channel roadmap.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital/Visual Communications, Graphic Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, creative production, and graphic design, or spaneting communications producing digital content and campaigns.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere/After Effects), Canva, and Microsoft 365/SharePoint.
- Solid grasp of HTML/CSS basics, CMS, and web/digital accessibility guidelines.
- Hands-on video production and editing.
- Proficiency with social media management and analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, HubSpot, native insights).
Additional knowledge and skills:
- Exceptional storytelling, graphic design skills, and a commitment to design excellence.
- Understanding of branding systems, typography, color theory, and responsive design principles.
- Experience in video production and editing, with flexibility to meet short turnarounds.
- Strong project-management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Data-savvy mindset; comfortable interpreting metrics and translating insights into action.
- Experience working with brand guidelines and ensuring consistency across diverse applications.
- Collaborative, service-oriented approach when partnering with HR, Operations, IT, and senior executives.
- Resourceful problem solver with high attention to detail and continuous-improvement mentality.
